In 2006, Brian participated in "Hoosier Star", an event styled like "American Idol" held in La Porte, IN. Brian was selected as one of 12 finalists to sing with the La Porte County Symphony Orchestra. This event was the key to Brian meeting the necessary talented musicians who have come together to help him release "Tribute".
"Tribute" marks Brian's first album, and is dedicated to the men and women in law enforcement who have been killed in the line of duty. Brian decided to record the album after attending countless funerals for police officers. One of the songs on the album, "Why Do Heroes Have To Die?" was written by Brian and Roscoe Hoffman. The other songs on the album are re-makes of songs popularized by other Contemporary Christian and Adult Contemporary artists.
